Certificate of Authenticity

I watch you sleep,
the shackles shed. Boxes,

cardboard shelters for books,
utensils, and

A move to the future,
the sun sets with the moon like
dying flowers on the window sill.

Yet, the hybrid Lillies flourish
concrete urns,

the returning bloom of
the moon's illumination on
Midwestern love.
